G-15 lenses. These lenses come with an ultraviolet (UV) coating.
Polycarbonate lenses- These are similar to plastic but are thinner, stronger and lighter weight than plastic. The lenses come with a scratch coating and UV coating also. These lenses are used in all frames that require drilling such as the older 1930's and 1940's metal frames.
Transition Lenses- These are plastic lenses that will change to a grey color outdoors in the bright sunlight. These lenses also come with a scratch resistant coating and UV protection.
Glass Lenses - Some frames will have their original glass lenses in them and they will usually be green lenses. These lenses, because of their age, do not have ultra-violet protection.
